What is Medical Tourism?
Medical Tourism is the innovative approach to a global sanitary
system, by which people who live in one country travel to another
country to receive surgical care at a significant saving, while at
the same time receiving equal or greater care than they would have
in their own country.
Cosmetic surgery is becoming always more "acceptable".
Medical tourism prices make cosmetic surgery affordable for lower
income groups.
The number of operations grew last year by 40%.
TV/media have popularised the "makeover", creating also a
great request of surgical treatment.
Significantly lower cost for best practice care is usually the
primary motivation.
Some people want to have cosmetic surgery and keep it secret.
They go abroad, have surgery, take advantage of the opportunity to
have a vacation and visit the host country, then after taking a
holiday go back to their own country.
The most common cosmetic surgery procedures for patients travelling
abroad are breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction and facelift.
A saving of over 30% is easy to achieve, even when allowing for
travel and accommodation.

How does it work?
1. The patient with a friend or familiar normally
books his/her surgery consultation in Rome. After arriving at the
International Airport of Rome, a driver will be waiting for the
pickup and transfer to the hotel situated right in the center of the
city, near via Veneto.
2. The same day or the day after the patient is
visited for the planned surgery, which will take place the day after
the visit.
3. The day of the operation the patient is
brought to the Clinic Villa Benedetta, Circonvallazione Cornelia 65,
(see photo

) a modern and efficient private hospital
4. After one or two nights the patient will be
brought back to the hotel, provided with all the drugs and
medications prescribed and under the supervision of the equip can
start to visit the city, depending to the surgery performed.
5. The length of the residency will depend on the
kind of surgery, anyway if the patient wants to visit other cities (such
as Florence, Venice…) our office can organize the tour.
6. The patient will maintain contact with the
medical staff through the dedicated interactive area of the website
and through telephone calls.
