Sandra, Your Personal Health Planner
Hello, my name is Sandra, and I am an MTI Personal Health Planner.
I applied to MTI initially because I was looking for a job where my being bilingual could be considered a plus. Of course, I also have always been extremely inclined to helping other people and seeing the results of my hard work gives back a lot in terms of satisfaction and feeling useful.
During my interview, I met a CRPS patient. She looked as though angry at something. But when I asked what the matter was, she looked at me compassionately and said “I’m just in pain”.
I didn’t quite understand what she really meant. But when I was assigned my very first patient, helped her go through her days in Italy and spent time with her during her treatment, that “I’m just in pain” sentence made complete sense to me at last.
CRPS warriors are true inspiration to me: they remind me why I am a Personal Health Planner and that through my job I’m making a difference in the world, as MTI really strives to make a difference. The way we are able to help Patients getting reliable information, the connections we create with the best (literally the best) Professors and Medical Doctors in the country, we take care of all the bureaucratic issues with Intercontinental Medical Travel, and so much more.
And to witness the results is something just beyond satisfactory: seeing mothers who can hold their babies for the first time; husbands that can enjoy their wives’ cooking and spend quality time with their loved ones once again; women who can drive and reach the high shelves without fearing a flare up; fathers who can go back to play football with their sons.
All of this and much more is the reason why I am proud to be a Medical Tourism Italy’s Personal Health Planner.
